The goal is permission to document the route—not ownership transfer.

Working contributor permission v1.0: you keep ownership of material you submit. Where you have the right to do so, you grant ABS non-exclusive permission to reproduce, display, publish and make reasonable formatting/accessibility edits to submitted route descriptions, photographs and related material for ABS route, stewardship and educational purposes. GPX hosting is handled separately using your navigation-hosting choice.
